Lawson Wood - Marine Photographer
Tuition/Vacations

Lawson has been at the forefront of underwater photography since 1970 and is considered by many of his contemporaries to be a ‘Grand Master’.   Having been a founder of the Scottish Underwater Photography Group, member of the British Society of Underwater Photographers and a Fellow of both the Royal Photographic Society and British Institute of Professional Photographers, Lawson made photographic history by gaining Fellowships in both societies in the same year solely for underwater photography.

Now with the digital age well and truly upon us, Lawson’s equipment includes the Nikon D100 and D200 cameras in Sea & Sea underwater housings.  Couple the latest technology with an appreciation for Photoshop use in underwater photography and you have the chance to attend specialist workshops to ease you into the digital age; learn some of the simple steps to help you gain the most out of your photography.  You will also learn how to present your photographs in a new and exciting audio-visual format.  Workshops are limited to six persons.

Dive vacation trips are another option of course.  Why not combine your love of underwater photography with a holiday to perhaps the Red Sea, Cayman Islands, Maldives or even further afield.  Daily seminars and informative skill levels are approached and the students’ photographs are appraised each day.

Lawson is also available for private tuition and is able to guide the student to some of the best underwater sites around whilst learning many of the skills which have made him into a multi-award winning photographer and author.
